Dubai, malls and a pool, as advertised

Five nights. Metro from the airport with bags was grim, taxi would have been smarter. Hotel pool on the roof, windy. Room fridge loud at night, they swapped it the next day. City break, not a beach week.

Lucerne, appartement au 3e, ascenseur ok. Lave-linge un peu bruyant le soir, voisins pas contents une fois, on a arrêté. Vue sur le quai. Courses à cinq minutes. Semaine scolaire, calme.

Lacs italiens, septembre calme

Moins de monde qu'en août. Hôtel avec petit balcon, moustiques le soir, spray fourni. Vérone une demi-journée, suffisant. On a nagé deux fois, eau encore bonne.

Gardasee und ein Tag Verona. Hotel in Sirmione, Parkplatz extra, das stand klein gedruckt. Zimmer mit Balkon, Abendessen im Ort besser als im Hotel. Sechs Tage sind knapp, wenn man auch schwimmen will.

Praktisch um die Ecke

Wohnung kennen wir vom Vorbeifahren. Parkplatz dabei, Waschmaschine ging. Für eine Woche mit Kind besser als Hotel. Kein Willkommenskorb, dafür klare Hausordnung. Reicht.

Croazia, imbarco in ritardo

Nave pulita, isole belle. A Trogir abbiamo aspettato quasi un'ora senza aggiornamenti. Poi il capitano ha spiegato il motivo, mare mosso. Tre stelle per l'attesa. Il resto della settimana ok.

Inselhopping ohne eigenes Boot

Acht Tage, kleine Schiffe, klare Ansagen. Kabine unter Deck, dafür günstiger. Hvar und Korčula zu Fuß. Einmal Wellen, wer seekrank wird, merkt das. Sonst ruhig.

Familienhotel, Animation laut

Alcúdia, Kinderpool super. Abends Animation bis halb elf, unser Zimmer lag nah dran. Tagsüber Strand fünf Minuten. Halbpension okay, Pizza besser als Fisch. Würden die Zimmerseite anders wählen.

Cruise was grand, the coach to the port was not

Split harbour, coach forty minutes late, no message. Once on board the cabin was clean and the swimming stops were the reason we booked. Three stars is about that delay. The islands were fine.

Garda without a hire car

Transfers worked. Hotel garden side, quieter than the lake road. Verona by train, cheap and simple. We swam twice, water still cool in June. Six days was the right length for us.

Andalusia, tanto pullman, visiste vere

Granada e Cordoba senza code infinite, quello valeva il viaggio. Hotel centrali, colazione ripetitiva. Guide in italiano un giorno su due, gli altri in inglese lento. Ci siamo arrangiati.

Andalousie, un musée en double

Circuit dense. Guide clair. À Cordoue on s'est retrouvés avec deux billets pour le même créneau, file d'attente pour régler. Le reste des visites ok. Trois étoiles, le fond est là.
