Dubai, pool closed two days for tiling

January, weather good. The rooftop pool was shut for repairs two of the five days. Gym was open, city was the backup. Room itself was fine. Three stars because the listing still showed the pool as a highlight.

Zwölf Tage, Bangkok und Insel. Viel Umsteigen, Hotels wechseln oft. Ein Flug intern um zwei Stunden verschoben, Info kam, nur spät. Essen und Guide in Ordnung. Wer Ruhe will, braucht ein anderes Programm.

Dezember in Wien, Märkte zu Fuß erreichbar. Hotelzimmer warm, Frühstück normal, nicht das Buffet aus der Werbung. Stadtführung pünktlich. Genau das, was wir für vier Tage wollten.

Hotel vicino a Stephansplatz, camera piccola, letto ok. Mercatini senza pullman. Treno da Bologna lungo, ma arrivati senza scali. Quattro giorni, non di più.

Fünf Tage, viel Beton, hat gepasst

Dubai im November, Hitze erträglich. Hotel hoch, Pool oben, Stadt per Metro. Kein Wüstentrip gebucht, bewusst. Check-in schnell, Zimmersafe hakte einmal, am nächsten Morgen erledigt.

Andalousie en car, pauses café courtes

Huit jours, beaucoup de photos arrêtées. Hôtels 3 étoiles centraux. Guide patient avec le groupe mixte. Un soir dîner libre non indiqué clairement, on a perdu vingt minutes. Sinon cadré.

Reno, ristorante di bordo rumoroso

Paesaggio bello, cabina in ordine. A cena il servizio delle 19 era pieno e rumoroso, alle 21 meglio, ma ce l'hanno detto tardi. Tre stelle. Le soste a terra puntuali.

Lucerna, lavatrice lenta

Settimana in appartamento. Il ciclo della lavatrice durava quasi due ore, con bambini bagnati dal lago un po' scomodo. Il resto: letto ok, cucina usabile, proprietario distante ma rispondente.

Croatia, cabin below deck, cheaper

We took the lower cabin on purpose. Little porthole, slept well. Swims off the boat twice. Captain's English was enough for times. Did not buy the kayak add-on in Hvar, priced for day-trippers.

Appartement à Lucerne, vue partielle sur le lac. Ascenseur étroit, valises portées un étage. Linge de maison propre, vaisselle un peu incomplète, on a acheté deux verres. Pour une semaine en famille, ça tient.

Mallorca with two kids, pool did the work

Alcúdia, walk to the beach, kids club in the morning only. Half board was pasta and grilled chicken, they ate it. Room with a bunk, as requested. No late-night disco outside our window, lucky.

Santorin, beaucoup d'escaliers, valise à roulettes mauvaise idée. Chambre propre, pas de vue caldera, c'était écrit. Location de scooter sur place, pas via le séjour. Semaine calme.
